About IQS Barcelona Summer Programme

IQS offers a two weeks Summer Programme, where you will have the opportunity to learn in an online environment and meet new worldwide friends.

This programme is tailored to your needs and interests. That’s why you can choose 2 or 3 modules among our course catalogue. You will also have some experiential and group activities which will give you a additional perspective to theoretical inputs.

But you won’t just study! The Student Life team has designed activities to strengthen getting to know each other and enjoy local culture. Please, take note of the following complementary activities:

  • Tapas course: would you like to learn how to cook the famous Spanish tapas? Benefit from this complementary course and learn how to cook tortilla de patatas, salmorejo, etc. among other delicious meals to share with a group of peers.
  • Basílica de la Sagrada Família: visit this a one-of-a-kind temple, for its origins, foundation and purpose this jewel of Modernism art. Fruit of the work of genius architect Antoni Gaudí, the project was promoted by the people for the people.
  • FC Barcelona stadium: if you are fan of football, the visit at Camp Nou, one of the biggest stadiums of the world, will not leave you indifferent.
  • Other activities: we are preparing additional visits, Barcelona city tours and excursions in Catalonia.

INNOVATION & ENTREPRENEURSHIP

In this crash-course on innovation and entrepreneurship, students start off on a journey that takes them from a business idea, up to developing a successful business plan.

CROSS-CULTURAL MANAGEMENT WITH A GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE

This course enhances your effectiveness when interacting with people from other countries. At the end of the course you will be able to recognise, understand and take advantage of the most significant cultural differences in business and at the workplace.

A MORAL ECONOMY OF SUSTAINABILITY & INEQUALITY

Climate change, the degradation of ecosystem services, pollution, poverty, inequality, human trafficking, artificial intelligence and the future of work. This course deals with some of our society’s most pressing challenges and how ethics and social thinking can assist individuals, companies and governments to find solutions.
