The COVID19 pandemic may just act as a catalyst of some underlying trends in society and technology that will shape how we will live and work in the coming years.

From a social perspective, this webinar focuses on the global trends in demographics, global wealth distribution and inequality. Additionally, we will briefly discuss on the state of Globalization, and on how this new pandemic has raised concerns about the limitations of global sourcing.

From a technological perspective, we will concentrate on the opportunities and challenges that the Internet of Things and the new developments in Robotics will represent for the job market of the future, and the consequences for the required skill set of the professionals of the second quarter of the 21st century.

About the speaker

Carles Malet, PhD

Carles Malet is the coordinator of the Master in Global Entrepreneurial Management (MGEM) and professor at IQS School of Management, expert in innovation and technology management. Malet holds a PhD in Chemistry and IQS Chemical Engineer and has worked positions such as Global Strategic Marketing Manager at The Lubrizol Corporation, R&D Director and International New Product Development Manager at Henkel and Consultant on Innovation and New Product Development.
