Benjamí Oller-Salvia, assistant professor at IQS School of Engineering, has conducted a 3-month research stay in Prof. David Baker’s laboratory (University of Washington). The Baker laboratory is a world reference in de novo protein design. Benjamí has been working on collaborative projects involving a new approach to brain delivery of bio- and nano-therapeutics and on new strategies to generate conditionally-activated biologics. This stay has been funded by the Fulbright program (Ruth Lee Kennedy grant) and the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO). This stay and the collaborative projects started will facilitate future exchange of students between IQS and the University of Washington.
