The Programme in Professional Intensification for engineers (PPI) aims to complement graduates’ academic education by enhancing their skills and gaining experience in the fields of Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Materials Science and Engineering.

IQS graduates will intensify their in-company experience by joining COVESTRO’s factories and several of its departments. At COVESTRO, participants will experience one year in the working environment of a multinational industrial company and will further develop their management, leadership, teamwork and self-learning skills.

The Programme is intended for dedicated, responsible, and open-minded young professionals who are environmentally concerned and interested in developing their professional career in a multinational industrial company.

Program Details

Application conditions: Candidates must be enrolled in the Master’s Thesis or have recently finished a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Materials Science and Engineering at IQS when applying to the Programme

Incorporation to the programme: The candidates who have been selected must have a Master's Degree before starting the programme.

Employment conditions: COVESTRO will hire the participants with an employment contract with a maximum duration up to one year (two six-month periods). COVESTRO shall not bear any commitment or responsibility concerning the participant’s possible future recruitment at the end of this programme. The compensation, benefits, and employment conditions shall be in accordance with the general employment contract conditions in Spain. Participants must accept the particular conditions of the Programme and will sign an agreement which will also include a commitment to complete the Programme in its entirety.

Language: Participants must possess a C1 level of English (Advanced, TOEFL 85). The students will also have the opportunity to learn German thanks to the classes included in the Programme. 

Mentoring: Participants will receive support from an Academic mentor at IQS and an Industrial mentor at COVESTRO.

Certificate: COVESTRO and IQS will issue a joint-diploma to certify the participation of the participants who have successfully fulfilled the entire Programme.
