Exchange programs

The Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering does not include a compulsory stay abroad. The Master’s Thesis can be done in companies or industries (professional and business profile) or at universities or research centres (research profile). A mixture of both options is possible, depending on the student's orientation. It may be necessary for specific students to do an internship in a company in order to do their Final Master's Thesis Project.
 
Students of the Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering who have completed the subjects of the first two semesters and meet the necessary requirements may apply to do their final project partially or completely at another university, research centre, Spanish or foreign company with which IQS has an established collaboration agreement with for purpose.
 
Students from other universities who are doing a Master's Degree similar to the Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering may also request to do their Master Thesis in one of the research groups at the IQS School of Engineering participating in the Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering, as long as a collaboration agreement between both institutions has previously been established.
 
In both cases, the Master Thesis must be defended at the student's university of origin so that credits will be granted. The collaboration agreement between both institutions will specify the duration of the Master Thesis as well as the time to complete the thesis.
